Harneys recently advised Hongkong Electric Finance Limited, a British Virgin Islands Company, on the update of its US $2 billion medium term note programme for the issue of notes unconditionally and irrevocably guaranteed by the Hongkong Electric Company Limited. The deal closed on 18 August 2009.
