Jayson Wood named head of Cayman Islands Restructuring

Harneys has announced the promotion of Jayson Wood to head of the Cayman Islands Restructuring department.

Ian Mann, Asia Managing Partner and long-term head of the Asia Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring practice group commended Jayson: “His unique skills are unquestionable, and he has contributed enormously to the success of the Restructuring practice group in the Cayman Islands. I am certain that under his leadership, the Cayman Islands team, together with the wider global teams, will continue to grow and prosper. I would like to congratulate Jayson on his promotion and wish him every success in his new role.”

Jayson was partner-in-charge of the dispute resolution team of Minter Ellison Lawyers (Gold Coast) in Australia before moving to the Caribbean in 2007. He has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of corporate and insolvency litigation with particular expertise in cross-border debt restructurings of distressed companies.

Jayson has worked on many high profile restructurings of Cayman Islands and Bermuda companies carrying on business in the U.S. and Asia, and has appeared as lead Counsel in multiple reported cases.
