Demetris Loizides is the head of the Corporate and Commercial practice group of our Cyprus office and specialises in corporate and commercial law. His clients include large, multinational corporations and banks in both the local and international market.
Prior to joining us, Demetris was a founding partner of Aristodemou Loizides Yiolitis LLC, which merged with us in December 2009. He has substantial experience in establishing sophisticated joint venture structures, restructuring and acquisitions of companies and businesses. Demetris has led the Cyprus office in numerous high profile capital markets related transactions, including private placements, initial public offerings, listings of Cypriot companies, public takeover bids, and delistings. He also enjoys a broad cooperation with leading international firms, including the magic and silver circle law firms, as well as the Big Four audit firms.
Demetris has been appointed to the Companies’ Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association and has been instrumental in a number of legislative amendments and developments pertaining mainly to the Cyprus Companies Law and other statutes. He has also published articles in his field of expertise.
