Indira Birkwood is a partner with over 18 years of experience advising clients on all aspects of British Virgin Islands banking and finance transactions.  She specialises in property finance transactions and her areas of expertise include emerging market debt, bilateral and syndicated finance, structured debt, derivatives, asset finance, project finance, capital markets, aircraft finance, ship finance, Islamic finance, and general aspects of banking and finance law.
Indira frequently advises on multi-million dollar transactions. Recent experience includes advising Delancey, the specialist real estate investment and advisory company, on its US$892 million acquisition of the London Olympic Village as a joint venture with Qatari Diar and advising the borrower in a real estate financing involving VTB France (S.A.) and Lesnaya Plaza in Moscow.  In 2010 Indira advised on BVI elements of the acquisition of Pactiv Corporation by Reynolds Group for approximately US$4.6 billion and has advised the Reynolds Group over a number of years.
