Expertise and Professional Background

Following practice as a litigation barrister in the BVI with another leading offshore firm Vicky Lord joined Harneys London Litigation and Restructuring and Insolvency practice as a senior associate in June 2014 and became a partner in 2017.

Vicky has a wide breadth of experience in cross-border jurisdictional commercial matters, from insolvency to shareholder disputes, both led and acting alone, in the Commercial Court and Court of Appeal of the East Caribbean Supreme Court and has also appeared in the Privy Council. She has particular expertise in high value contentious trusts and probate litigation, where she has acted for trustees, beneficiaries and third parties with considerable success. 

Before working offshore Vicky was in-house counsel with Kingsley Napley LLP, following private practice at the Bar and is a member of the Chancery Bar Association. 

Vicky has been recognised as a next generation BVI lawyer in Legal 500 2017. She is also a past  winner of the Client Choice Award (2014) for the BVI for offshore services, voted for by corporate counsel.
