Expertise and Professional Background
Shamara joined the Harneys' team in October 2008 and is presently an associate in the Banking & Finance Department where she advises banks, financial institutions and leading law firms on a wide range of BVI banking matters, including property financing and project financing.
Shamara was previously a participant in the firm's Professional Development Programme where she gained experience in the firm's Banking & Finance, Corporate & Commercial, Investment Funds & Regulatory and Litigation & Insolvency Departments.
Prior to joining Harneys, Shamara worked part time as a legal assistant at the law firm of Kelsick Wilkin & Ferdinand in St. Kitts. To enhance her legal training experience, she completed her in-service training at the Attorney General's Chambers and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in St. Kitts.
