Expertise and Professional Background
Tamia joined Harneys in September 2008 and is enrolled in the firm’s Professional Development Programme. She is currently in the Banking and Finance Department where she advises banks, financial institutions, and leading law firms on various aspects of BVI banking law. Previously Tamia was a member of the Private Client and Fiduciary Services Department where she gained a wealth of experience in property and estate succession matters and the law of trusts.
Prior to joining Harneys, Tamia was a Senior Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions of the Government of the Virgin Islands and prior to that in the Attorney General’s Chambers of the Government of the Virgin Islands. She is an Additional Magistrate and Notary Public in the Virgin Islands.
