Keisha joined Harneys in November 2002 and practices as a barrister, regularly attending before the Courts of the Virgin Islands. Keisha specialises in Insolvency, Administrative and Telecommunications law; and Commercial Litigation. Her practice areas include Insolvency: applications for appointment of liquidators/winding up petitions (which includes creditors' and just & equitable winding up applications); Receiverships; Commercial Litigation: shareholder disputes; injunctive and disclosure orders (e.g. Norwich Pharmacal and Freezing orders); restoration of dissolved companies; rectification of the share registers of companies; Debt recovery and Enforcement of security for banks (e.g. by way of stop notices and stop orders, administrative receiverships etc.); Admiralty applications; Applications with respect to BVI trusts; Applications for judicial review and other administrative orders; Alternative Dispute Resolutions (e.g. mediation and arbitration).
In addition, Keisha served as a part time lecturer with the University of the West Indies, School of Continuing Studies, BVI and taught Law & Legal Systems, Constitutional & Administrative Law and Administration of Trusts & Estates.
Keisha served as First Vice President of the British Virgin Islands Bar Association in 2008-2009.
