Harneys' Asia team supports fundraising efforts for the BVI

Harneys’ Hong Kong team is proud to have supported BVI House Asia’s Fundraising Ball on Wednesday 29 November, which was organised by a committee of industry practitioners to raise funds for the rebuilding of Elmore Stoutt High School, which was significantly damaged in Hurricane Irma in September 2017.

Three hundred people attended the black-tie event at Hong Kong’s Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, with Harneys sponsoring two tables. Partners Ellie Crespi and Raymond Ng were in attendance, as well as numerous counsel, associates and support staff. The team took part in live and silent auctions, raffles and pledges throughout the evening to further raise proceeds for the school’s reconstruction.

The fundraising support continued the following evening as the Hong Kong team celebrated its 12 year anniversary with around 500 clients at a party at Armani Privé on Thursday 30 November. During the event Asia Managing Partner, Jonathan Culshaw, presented a cheque for US$10,000 to BVI House Asia Director, Elise Donovan, to go towards the Elmore Stoutt High School’s rebuilding efforts. On thanking Harneys for the donation, Elise said: “There’s a challenging road ahead of us, but rebuilding the BVI stronger and better will be made easier and faster with contributions like yours.”
