Harneys is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Associate Sarah Bolt as Director of the Women’s Offshore Network (WON), a networking organisation for women in the BVI financial services sector.
Established in 2014, WON aims to provide group support, bespoke professional development, and networking resources to women working in the BVI financial services industry through a variety of events and seminars in an effort to strengthen relationships and increase women’s participation within the local business community. Furthermore, WON provides a platform that fosters encouragement and learning while enhancing the professional status of women in all disciplines of financial services.
Sarah joined Harneys in 2018 as a member of the BVI Litigation and Insolvency practice group. She was appointed Director of WON at the organisation’s AGM on 23 July 2020. Sarah is also part of the Events Committee for the Recovery & Insolvency Specialists Association and is a member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation .
Sarah commented: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the Director of WON. I hope to build on the success of previous years and to continue to offer networking, mentoring and professional development opportunities, particularly in such a tough environment. I am thrilled to be able to contribute to WON and look forward to helping its members develop in a substantive and meaningful way.”
