Lucy Hannett has acted on a wide range of commercial litigation cases, including company and shareholder disputes, contractual disputes and fraud cases. She has also gained extensive experience in a number of insolvency and restructuring matters.
Examples of Lucy’s recent experience include:
- Advising on a long running family dispute regarding the ownership of shares in a BVI company
- Acting for minority shareholders of a BVI incorporated company in unfair prejudice proceedings
- Jinpeng Group Limited v Peak Hotels and Resorts Limited - Advising on an application for the appointment of provisional liquidators and liquidators to a BVI company, subsequent appeal proceedings and interlocutory applications
- Advising a US bank on an application for the appointment of liquidators to a BVI company and the realisation of secured assets
Lucy trained and qualified in London with an international law firm before relocating to the BVI in 2013. Prior to joining us in 2018, Lucy worked for another leading offshore firm in the BVI.
