Petros Kiteos is a member of our Regulatory and Tax and Investment Funds team in Cyprus. Petros regularly advises clients on complex matters, regarding financial services and regulatory law issues, including the licensing and supervision of authorised credit and financial institutions, investment firms, UCITS, payment service providers, e-money institutions, AIFs as well as full-scope and sub-threshold AIFMs.
His practice also includes advising on major competition law matters, including notifications, with a Cypriot or EU dimension, in relation to mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures to the competent authorities.
Petros’ expertise extends to corporate and commercial law as he regularly advises on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and due diligence projects for both public and private companies.
Petros has a background in civil engineering, which gives him a technical understanding in complex construction projects and a practical approach when it comes to providing legal advice.
Prior to joining us, Petros gained valuable experience with Reed Smith LLP and Campbell Johnston Clark in London.

Petros' recent experience includes:
- Acting for and providing advice on Cypriot law matters to The Brink’s Company in connection to its acquisition of the majority of G4S plc’s cash operations for US$860 million.
- Advising and handling a number of notification processes to the Cypriot Competition Authority in relation to potential concentrations of undertakings of major importance for the Larnaca Port and Marina and for a major luxury chain hotel entering the Cyprus ultra-luxury hotel market.
- Advising on the Cypriot law regulatory and corporate aspects of the restructuring of an AIF, including the internal restructuring of the AIF as well as the replacement of its AIFM.
