Tyrone is a member of our Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring practice in our BVI office.
Prior to joining us in 2021, he worked as a judicial counsel at the Caribbean Court of Justice, advising the court in its role as a Caribbean final appeals court and international law court with jurisdiction akin to that of the European Court of Justice. During his tenure, he assisted with deciding civil and criminal law appeals from several Caribbean states as well as cross-border matters arising under the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) regional economic treaty.
He is also trained in handling international investment and commercial disputes, having recently completed the rigorous International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration LLM programme at NYU School of Law. He is currently a member of the BVI International Arbitration Centre Group.
Tyrone lectured and conducted seminars in the LLB programme at the University of the West Indies for several years. Recently, he served as a public interest research fellow at the CARICOM Secretariat through the NYU LLM Public Interest Fellowship. He has also worked closely with a network of regional heads of judiciary and other legal officers in organising major Caribbean law conferences.
