Elkie Rose joined Harneys in December 2014 with many years of experience in the Cayman Islands financial services industry. She advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law including the formation, maintenance and dissolution of Cayman companies, investment funds and segregated portfolio companies. She also advises on various aspects of corporate compliance, licencing and regulation.

Elkie speaks fluent Spanish and English which allows her to provide legal services to the firm’s clients in the Latin American market. She has extensive knowledge of business development in the Cayman Islands including relevant local licensing laws, the Immigration Law and Labour Law. Elkie is also a member of the firms Private Wealth Group in which she provides legal services in relation to property transactions, shipping and intellectual property.

Elkie is a member of the Cayman Islands Law Society, the British and Irish Law Education and Technology Association, Cayman Islands Maritime (Shipping) Sector Consultative Committee, 100 Women in Hedge Funds, and WISTA Cayman Islands. She is also a member of the Executive Board of National Council of Voluntary Organisations, Co-Founder and member of Cayman Thanksgiving, past volunteer of the Cayman Islands Diabetes Association and Cayman Islands Cancer Society.
