Leonard Birmingham has been a partner with Harneys since 1997 and is Global Head of Corporate. He has extensive experience in all aspects of BVI and Anguillan corporate law and also advises on banking and insolvency law. His client base spans the globe and consists mainly of established public and private companies, founders and investors in start-up companies, company directors and shareholders, law firms and banks. This international practice has afforded him the opportunity to be involved in initial public offerings and listings on major stock exchanges in New York, London, Singapore, Amsterdam and Oslo. Leonard advises on joint ventures and private placements, mergers, takeovers, corporate restructuring, directors' duties, shareholder rights, banking, insolvency, project finance, asset finance and special purpose vehicles for tax or corporate structures. He is a notary public in the British Virgin Islands.
