BVI Financial Investigation Agency strengthens global financial crime fight with new partnerships

The Financial Investigation Agency (FIA) of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) has signed a Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) of Guernsey and the Bahamas. These agreements aim to enhance cooperation in the fight against financial crimes, including money laundering, terrorism financing, and proliferation financing.
By aligning with the principles of the Egmont Group, these MoUs focus on improving the exchange of financial intelligence, fostering collaboration, and building capacity among these jurisdictions. This partnership is expected to boost efforts in detecting, preventing, and investigating financial crimes that threaten both national and global security.
