Harneys has been awarded a contract for the provision of legal services to the Recovery and Development Agency.
Partner, Johann Henry, who attended the official signing on 5 July, said: "We are delighted to have been chosen for this notable role as the RDA's official law firm. It is an opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to the achievement of Government’s strategic vision for a stronger, smarter, greener, and better BVI. Harneys have always been regarded as an institution synonymous with the BVI, providing the highest quality counsel, and innovative, practical legal thinking."
The legal work will encompass domestic BVI advice, including real estate and infrastructure projects, as well as corporate and commercial and dispute resolution advice. Harneys was selected by the RDA after a formal public tender process that involved rigorous vetting.
As a law firm and fiduciary services business that started in the British Virgin Islands just over 60 years ago, Harneys has grown in tandem with the BVI’s own development and increasing importance to the international economy as a leading offshore financial services centre. With offices in over 10 locations across the globe, we are recognised internationally as an export brand from the BVI and at our core, remain a BVI firm.
