Introducing Harney Westwood & Riegels LP

The partners of Harneys are pleased to announce that our British Virgin Islands office has re-registered under Limited Partnership Act 2017, and going forward will be trading as a limited partnership under the name Harney Westwood & Riegels LP.

Harneys was formed in Road Town in 1960, and for the 58 year period between now and then within the British Virgin Islands it has either operated as a sole proprietorship or as a general partnership. However with the changes to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (Virgin Islands) Act (Cap 80) to permit the use of corporate structures in the practice of law, and the passing of the Limited Partnership Act 2017, the firm has elected to reorganise itself to take advantage of those legislative changes.

We look forward to continuing to serve our global client base in our new form. This change relates solely to the firm’s British Virgin Islands office and none of our other global offices are affected.
