Harneys named Best Offshore Law Firm and Best Offshore Law Firm: Client Service by Africa Global Funds Africa Service Providers Awards 2017

14 November 2017

Harneys takes a clean sweep of the awards up for grabs at the Africa Global Funds (AGF) Africa Service Provider Awards 2017. For the second year running, Harneys has been named Best Offshore Law Firm and Best Offshore Law Firm – Client Service, beating off stiff competition from its rivals. The AGF Africa Service Provider Awards are dedicated to celebrating excellence in the provision of fund services in the Africa space.

Winners were chosen via a carefully selected panel of judges who have distinguished themselves in their field with a wealth of experience and expertise.

Africa Practice Head Patrick Colegrave commented: “We are humbled to once again receive this recognition from AGF. Winning both awards dedicated to the offshore sector for the second year running was unexpected and serves as evidence of our market leading expertise in this space. I would like to congratulate our global funds team who made this possible and am delighted that this continues Harneys’ winning streak of industry awards in the funds sector in 2017.”

The award affirms the strength and reputation of Harneys’ funds practice, which is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing offshore funds teams. It comes just weeks after HFM named Harneys Best Offshore Law Firm at their awards ceremony on 19th October 2017, and Hedgeweek named Harneys as Best Offshore Law Firm – Global at their annual awards ceremony on 21 September 2017, also in New York.

Harneys has also recently announced the continued expansion of its investment fund teams in the BVI, London and the Cayman Islands, and will soon make a significant announcement concerning its legal operations in Asia. The firm has enjoyed several years of double digit growth and expanded its total global headcount to 492 as of November 2017.
