On 2 February 2022, Harneys, Provenance, and the Blockchain Association of Cayman Islands (BACI) hosted a panel discussion with local NFT artists to discuss their experiences with digital assets.

The artists featured on the panel included digital artist Shane "Dready" Aquart, film producer Badir Awe of Awesome Productions, Pop Artist Marc Laurenson, and fashion illustrator and music producer Adriana Krawcewicz, moderated by Petri Basson, BACI Chairman. Many industry players in this space are looking at things from a legal, regulatory, technological, accounting perspective – this discussion offered a fascinating insight into how artists are approaching the space, the use of NFTs to enhance content delivery to a wider audience, and the successes and concerns they have. Marc Piano, Associate in the Harneys Cayman Islands office, offered some optimistic yet cautious closing reflections on the current state and future direction of the NFT space. The event offered the audience a unique opportunity to see things through a different lens and inspire others to look into and use this technology themselves.

The panel discussion was recorded courtesy of Badir Awe at Awesome Productions.
