Chambers HNW 2019 places Harneys as the market leader
For the third consecutive year, Harneys has proven itself a dominant force in the private wealth market with its recent rankings in the 2019 Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Guide. The firm’s British Virgin Islands team remains the sole firm recognised in the Band 1 ranking for offshore trusts, while the Cayman Islands team remains strong with its Band 2 ranking.
The trusts teams, within the Private Wealth department, have been led by Partner Henry Mander, since the creation of the firm’s Cayman trusts practice eight years ago. “Harneys has an outstanding reputation for its private wealth work in the BVI; our ranking and the quality of our client base is testament to our success,” Henry said. “Our practice in Cayman continues to grow at a vast pace and we’re regarded as a leading firm by our clients.”
We are “the best-known firm for trust work,” according to a BVI source. A satisfied Cayman client added, “when it comes to real substantial legal advice, I will always go to a heavyweight firm like this.”
Henry was recognised in Band 2, with clients describing him as “phenomenal: practical, knowledgeable and always able to help.” Senior Associate Charles Moore was included as an associate to watch, with sources saying “he always goes the extra mile to understand the clients and their situation in order to advise them in the best possible way.”
Harneys’ trusts practice advises individual and commercial clients on the establishment, administration and structuring of all types of BVI, Cayman and Cyprus trusts. The firm provides bespoke and innovative succession and wealth management solutions to a wide range of clients from a wide range of countries.
