Colin Riegels named BVI Managing Partner

Harneys has announced that Global Head of Banking and Finance Colin Riegels is the new Managing Partner of its BVI office. Colin will succeed Sheila George who has been BVI Managing Partner for five years and is now shifting her focus to leading the firm’s Global Private Wealth practice.

Colin Riegels joined Harneys in 1999 and became a partner in 2006. Colin played a key role in setting up Harneys’ London and Singapore offices, and has also spent periods of time working in Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands. He has served on numerous BVI government-sponsored committees and also serves as general editor of British Virgin Islands Commercial Law (3rd ed).
