Harneys advises Mercuria Investment on the closing of its Cayman parallel fund as a part of aggregated JP¥44 billion buyout fund

Harneys advised Mercuria Investment Co. Ltd. in relation to the successful closing of Japan Industry Revitalization and Innovation L.P., a Cayman Islands exempted limited partnership buyout fund, a parallel fund to admit non-Japanese investors, as a part of valued at approximately JP¥44 billion.

The deal marks the first global fundraising attempt by Mercuria Investment under a parallel fund structure, set up by a Cayman exempted limited partnership alongside its flagship Japanese limited partnership. By doing so, the company has generated approximately JP¥44 billion of aggregate commitments.

Mercuria Investment manages alternative investment funds and seeks excess returns in low-liquidity sectors. Their foundation as a multi-strategy fund manager is built upon a diverse range of investment strategies. These strategies encompass growth investment, value investment, buyout/succession investment, real estate, cash flow investment in line with the macro environment, and new funds based on those strategies.
