Harneys BVI associate selected as a mentee for prestigious arbitration programme
Harneys associate Romane Duncan has been selected to participate as a mentee in the 2021-2022 Young ICCA Mentoring Programme, where he will be mentored by Doak Bishop, an expert in international commercial arbitration.
The two year programme will provide a unique platform for young professionals to network and learn from world leaders in the arbitration community. Each year, a handful of professionals are chosen from a competitive pool of applicants. Romane was successfully selected from a large pool of 500 applicants this year.
The Young ICCA is a branch organisation dedicated to youths, that functions under the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and has grown to over 8,000 members since its founding in 2010. They are dedicated to fostering the growth of young practitioners from various areas of the world in the developing field of international arbitration.
Romane commented: "I am humbled by my selection and I intend to use this opportunity as a spring board for my career in international commercial dispute resolution. This mentorship complements my current work at Harneys which often includes complex commercial issues whether being resolved by litigation or arbitration."
