Harneys Cayman office converts to limited liability partnership

Harneys is pleased to announce that the Cayman Islands office of Harneys has re-registered as a limited liability partnership under the Limited Liability Partnership Act (2021 Revision) of the laws of the Cayman Islands.

This has a number of legal effects, including vesting Harneys Cayman with separate legal personality, and limiting the personal liability of the partners for any obligations of the firm. The name of the firm remains the same, and under the statute all of the rights, obligations, assets and liabilities of the former general partnership automatically vest in the new limited liability partnership by operation of law. This includes all client matters.
