Harneys is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We are aware of the concerns which exist over the security of information which you provide to us (both over the internet and otherwise).
We may obtain, use, process and disclose personal data about you through the Harneys mobile application in order to enable you or any other person, or any company to which you or any other person may be connected, to satisfy Harneys’ Customer Due Diligence (CDD) obligations and procedures, for the purposes of becoming a Harneys client. We may also use this information for other related purposes including updating and enhancing our client records, analysis for management purposes and statutory returns, crime prevention, and legal and regulatory compliance.
Personal information that we process through the Harneys mobile application will include:
- Personal data that you submit to us via the Harneys mobile application include: email address, forename(s), surname(s), former names, aliases, date of birth, device ID, primary residential address, occupation, nationality, country of birth, a service address for documents, ID images and face images.
- Personal information that we collect automatically via the app. When registering your account with us, we may collect data that identifies the type of mobile device you have, IP address, app crashes, and other system activity.
We collect this information for the purposes of ID verification and conducting checks against third-party systems (such as databases of politically exposed persons and persons subject to international sanctions).
We may disclose personal data collected through the Harneys mobile application to law enforcement agencies insofar as it is required by law or is strictly necessary for the prevention, detection, or prosecution of criminal acts and fraud. We may need to further disclose personal data to competent authorities to protect and defend our rights or properties, or the rights and properties of our business partners.
In using the Harneys mobile application, you acknowledge the collection and use of this information by Harneys in the ways described above.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time before the completion of the onboarding process by logging in to our app, clicking the menu bar, and selecting the “delete account” option. You will lose access to our app and all its features by deleting your account. If you have not completed onboarding, all your data will be deleted from our app and our systems when you delete your account.
If you have completed onboarding, please get in touch with your Harneys representative to initiate a deletion request. Some of your data may still be stored in our systems for legal or operational purposes.
