ESMA updates Q&As on MiFID II/MiFIR

On 28 May 2020, the European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) updated its Questions and Answers (Q&A) on the implementation of investor protection topics under the Market in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II/MiFIR).

The purpose of the Q&A is to promote common supervisory approaches and practices in the application of MiFID II and MiFIR in relation to investor protection topics. It provides responses to questions posed by the general public, market participants and competent authorities in relation to the practical application of MiFID II and MiFIR.

The contents of this document are aimed at competent authorities and firms by providing clarity on the application of the MiFID II and MiFIR requirements.
