Peter McKeown-Walley is a member of the Investment Funds team in our British Virgin Islands office. He advises clients on all aspects of the set-up, operation, and closure of investment funds including matters related to corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Peter McKeown-Walley is a member of the Investment Funds team in our British Virgin Islands office. He advises clients on all aspects of the set-up, operation, and closure of investment funds including matters related to corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

He has significant experience in dealing with regulators in Europe and Asia. Peter has regularly advised asset managers and management companies in Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland on topics including UCITS, AIFMD, FATCA, CRS, and SFDR.

Peter moved to the British Virgin Islands and joined us in 2021, after spending a decade working in the City of London, where his experience included senior in-house counsel roles at Aviva Investors and Natixis Investment Managers. Peter also worked in the product management team at BlackRock. Prior to that, Peter practiced at Dechert LLP and William Fry in Dublin, Ireland.
