Yifan Li is a member of our Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring team in the Shanghai office. Yifan assists with a wide range of cross-border commercial litigation, whether in relation to companies, trusts, hedge funds or insolvency and arbitration. She advises clients in obtaining necessary notarisations and authentications for their domestic proceedings or registrations in the BVI and Cayman Islands. Yifan Li is a member of our Litigation, Insolvency and Restructuring team in the Shanghai office. Yifan assists with a wide range of cross-border commercial litigation, whether in relation to companies, trusts, hedge funds or insolvency and arbitration. She advises clients in obtaining necessary notarisations and authentications for their domestic proceedings or registrations in the BVI and Cayman Islands. She also works closely with our BVI litigators as well as our Cayman litigators, to ensure a smooth service for clients in resolving their disputes.

Prior to joining us, Yifan has worked as a mediator with the small claims courts in New York City, mediating matters referred by the courts. Yifan has also interned with a New York-based business, employment and entertainment law firm, the legal department of one of the largest auction houses in the world, as well as the office of general counsel of a federal agency in Washington, D.C., providing contentious and non-contentious legal services to clients in the areas of art, music and entertainment.

Yifan received a Master of Laws (LLM) in 2017 and obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) in 2021. She is admitted to practise in New York. She does not practise PRC law.

Yifan is fluent in Mandarin, English and Shanghainese.
