Harneys is pleased to announce two senior leadership appointments. Claire Goldstein and Nick Hoffman have been appointed as office managing partners in the BVI and Cayman Islands, respectively. Both appointments are effective 1 July 2026.

Claire has extensive experience in complex multi-jurisdictional corporate and commercial litigation, trusts, fraud and asset tracing, and insolvency and restructuring. She regularly represents clients before the BVI courts on a range of interlocutory applications. Claire will also continue to serve as co-head of the Litigation & Insolvency and Restructuring team in the BVI alongside Christopher Pease. Claire succeeds Tanya Cassie-Parker, who served in the role for the past seven years.

Nick, who previously served as the office managing partner in Cayman, specialises in insolvency and restructuring, financial services litigation, company disputes, and fraud. He acts for banks, multinational corporations, and financial services professionals, and will continue as the global head of the firm's Dispute Resolution team. Nick succeeds Carolynn Vivian, who oversaw the transition of the Cayman office from the fiduciary business to a stand-alone law firm entity. Carolynn will continue in her role as group general counsel, leading the firm’s in-house legal function across the Harneys group.

William Peake, Global Managing Partner at Harneys, commented: “Claire and Nick are both exceptional leaders. Their impressive track records, strong client relationships, and deep understanding of the legal landscapes in their respective jurisdictions make them ideally placed to lead our offices into the future. I wish them both every success in their new roles, and I thank Tanya and Carolynn for their outstanding leadership as office managing partners.”

These appointments underscore the firm’s commitment to strong, experienced leadership across its global network and to delivering exceptional service to its clients.
